Henry, Florence M.
Florence M. Henry, 91, of Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade, formerly of Dubuque and Cedar Rapids, died at 11 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, at Shady Rest Care Center. According to her wishes she will be cremated and private family memorial services will be at a later date. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd., Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Dubuque, the daughter of Arthur A. and Mary Eva (Pohl) Winner.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Ron) Matz of Dubuque; three grandchildren, Deborah Matz-Woodlock, Julie Matz and Jennifer George; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas and Kali; and one great-great-granddaughter, Malana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Eldon and Floyd.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque in memory of Florence M. Henry.
The family wishes to thank Shady Rest Care Center and Hospice of Dubuque, especially Ann, Nichole, Penny, Megane, Jessica and Lynn for all their care and compassion they gave to Florence.
