To the editor:
On Nov. 2, my husband and I had the pleasure of attending Kennedy High School to honor students for their academic achievements. After the principal requested cellphones be turned off, the choir performed the Kennedy school song. They sounded quite professional. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to our flag, the students walked onto the stage in an orderly fashion to be recognized and to receive a T-shirt and certificate of excellence.
With all the 'bad stuff” reported by the media, I am writing this letter to say that these students were well behaved, and I am so proud that our grandson was part of the group. Hats off to the administration for a well organized, enjoyable program.
