Vernon J. Dostal, 78, of Grinnell, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 7, at St. Mary's Cath-olic Church in Grinnell. Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. His family will be present to greet friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, with a Scripture service held at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be designated to St. Mary's Catholic Church, American Lung Association or the American Heart Association and mailed c/o Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
