Glenn, Carolyn
Carolyn Glenn, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. She was born Feb. 20, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of James and Esther (Miller) Cousins. Carolyn married Willis Glenn on Sept. 9, 1956, in Olin. She was a graduate of Olin High School and Iowa State University. Carolyn taught home economics at Monticello High School and farmed with her husband for many years near Olin. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the 20th Century Club and St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Olin. Carolyn was a member of St. Timothy's United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls.
Survivors include her husband, Willis Glenn of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Jaymee (David) Glenn-Burns of Cedar Falls and Ann Grove of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Allyn Glenn-Burns of Cedar Falls, Cecilia Grove of Davenport and Magee Glenn-Burns of Cedar Falls; and a brother, Robert (Sharon) Cousins of Olin.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Katie Rose Glenn-Burns.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Western Home Communities Windridge, 5311 Hyacinth Dr., Cedar Falls. Services also will be at 11 a.m. March 23, at Olin Community United Methodist Church.
