Ferentz radio show: Bulaga, Moeaki updates

OL Bryan Bulaga was "day-to-day" on Tuesday and remained that way on Wednesday, Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said on his radio show Wednesday night.
"Still day-to-day," Ferentz said. "We'll let hope remain here and see what happens the next 48 hours."
Bulaga, who missed last week with an undisclosed illness, didn't practice Tuesday. It wasn't clear if he did Wednesday. Ferentz didn't comment on that. During his Tuesday news conference, Ferentz was pretty strong with the "when and not if" vibe with Bulaga, who had a streak of 20 starts snapped last week.
If Bulaga doesn't play, redshirt freshman Riley Reiff will get his second start. He played his first game last week at Iowa State.
UPDATE: And we have a bit of an answer on tight end Tony Moeaki.
Moeaki suffered a sprained ankle in week 1 against Northern Iowa, when he caught 10 passes. It might've been a factor in his output against Iowa State, when he was held to one catch for 4 yards.
"We have a lot of guys who get injured and we have a lot of rumors about injuries. I don't know if anything is totally secret anymore," Ferentz said. "Tony actually sprained his ankle in the first ballgame. We have a lot of guys right now who are nicked up. We're two games into it. We've got a lot of guys with sprained ankles and other assortments of interesting ailments, flu and all that other stuff.
"We'll see what happens when Saturday rolls around."
Ferentz didn't say what Moeaki's status for Saturday is.
Thanks to Brian from Winthrop for asking the question.
