A new restaurant announced Friday for Coralville's Iowa River Landing will feature contemporary architectural touches including a rooftop patio.
30hop is scheduled to open in the summer of 2013, featuring contemporary cuisine from local cuisine and craft beers, the company said.
More than 50 beers on tap on the main level bar. The 6,500-square-foot building will include both rooftop and main level patios, an extensive central bar and liquid crystal display screens throughout the restaurant to update craft beer information.
Four local restaurateurs are among the partners in the venture. Erik Shewmaker has been the owner and operator of BlackStone restaurant and bar. Matthew Swift is the owner/operator of Red's Alehouse in North Liberty. Brian Flynn has ownership in BlackStone, Joe's Place, Donnelly's and Vesta. Dan Blum is a longtime manager at BlackStone.
The menu will feature gourmet burgers and french fries, seafood, pasta, steaks, sandwiches, salads and other dishes featuring local ingredients.
A staff of 60 to 70 employees will handle about 30 kitchen positions.
The restaurant was designed by architect George Pappageorge of
Pappageorge Haymes in Chicago.
Koester Construction will be general contractor.
