Caraway, Barbara Jean

Barbara Jean Caraway, 87, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion, died there Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Pastor Michael Kleeberger. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; her children, Chuck (Rose) Fadness and Diane Erb; numerous grandchildren; her siblings, Dorothy and Harold; and a sister-in-law, Betty.

Barbara was born March 31, 1926, in Marion, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Gladys Hayes. She was a graduate of Marion High School. On Nov. 17, 1975, she married Larry Caraway at First United Methodist Church in Marion. Barbara worked at St. Luke's Hospital in the cafeteria. She was a member of Squaw Creek Baptist Church in Marion.
