Ice Fishing Derby on Swan Lake

Independence, IA – Heartland Acres Agribition Center will be the setting on Sunday, February 13, 2011 for an Ice Fishing Derby on Swan Lake on the Heartland Acres Campus. Following are the initial details.

What: 2011 Ice Fishing Derby

When: Sunday, February 13th 10am – 2pm

Where: Swan Lake @ Heartland Acres Agribition Campus

Why: Fund raiser for Swan Lake improvements. All funds raised will be used towards continued grounds and lake improvements.

Prizes, fun and good outdoor entertainment to break up a winter day.

Entries and fees due by January 24, 2011. Entry forms and more information will be available on our web site or at Heartland Acres admissions office @ 2600 Swan Lake Blvd, Independence, IA 50644 by January 5.

Cost to Enter: $200.00 entry fee per (4) person teams. Be creative. Teams can be with coworkers, families, churches, etc. Come up with team colors or themes and win a prize for most creative.

All alcohol must be purchased through the Event Center. Other beverages also available for purchase through the Event Center.

Augers, bait, fishing gear, and ice hole drilling are the responsibility of the participants.

Valid Iowa fishing license is required.
