'They wasted $10 for parking'
I went to parts of tonight's Iowa vs. Illinois men's basketball game. We parked in somebody's front yard a couple of blocks away.
"Four-wheel drive?" the woman asked me.
"Yep."
"Back on in right there" on top of the snow in the front yard.
For 10 bucks I had a decent spot and ready to pull right out when I was ready to leave.
As I was heading to Carver another attendant told me that somebody had parked there, paid the $10 and went looking for a ticket. With the game being sold out, they returned and left.
"They wasted $10 for parking," he said.
