Dorothy Ann Montague, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Monday, May 1, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, with visitation one hour before the service at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born Dec. 7, 1926, the daughter of Richard and Francis (Hormitko) Jasa in Cedar Rapids. On Nov. 23, 1955, she was married to David Montague. He passed away in 1992. Dorothy was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was so happy to have lived to see her beloved Cubs finally win the World Series. That was the one last thing on her bucket list.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her two sons, Robert (Carolyn) Tilton and John (Deann) Tilton; seven beloved grandchildren, Johnny, Dawn (Dave), Chad, Jim, Paul (Jenny), Jennifer (Andy) and Staci (Nate); nine great-grandchildren; loving cousins, the Abneys, Debbie, Doug and Paul; her fine sons-in-law; and good buddy, Jon Scriven.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave; daughter, Mary; parents; and several aunts and uncles.
