Penningroth, Janice Louise
Funeral services for Janice Louise Penningroth, 80, of Tipton, who died Sunday, July 7, 2013, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Tipton, with the Rev. Donnita Moeller officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, also at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Tipton. Burial will be in the Red Oak Cemetery, Tipton.

A memorial has been established in memory of Janice.
Janice was born March 28, 1933, in Champaign County, Illinois, the daughter of John and Grace Busboom Meier. After the death of Grace at a young age, John married Leota Meier, who essentially raised Janice. Janice was a high school graduate of Ogden High School, Illinois and attended Commercial College. On Feb. 18, 1961, Janice was united in marriage to Darrel Dean Penningroth in Royal, Ill. She was a homemaker, church organist and was employed part-time at ACT. She was a member of the vocal group “Variety & Spice.” Janice enjoyed spending winters in Mesa, Ariz. She was a Cub fan and liked to garden.
Janice is loved and survived by her husband, Darrel Penningroth of Tipton; and sons, Rob (Angie Chambliss) Penningroth and David Penningroth, all of Tipton; and grandchildren, Austin, Emma and Caden Penningroth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Meier.
