Bohlen, Judith E.
Judith E. Bohlen, 68, of 4011 Westover Rd. SW, Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center after a brief illness. Services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Brenda Peconge will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Marlin; one daughter, Marsha Askelson; three sons, Scott Cryder, John Cryder and Eric (Barb) Cryder; a brother, Ronald (Liz) Young; and two sisters, Lois (Wil) Fieckert and Loretta (Chuck) Wesbrook, all of Cedar Rapids.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Keith Young.
Judy was born on June 30, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Clarence and Olive Smith Young. She married Marlin M. Bohlen on Sept. 8, 1978, in Cedar Rapids. Judy worked at Randall Foods for 10 years until its closing. She enjoyed baking, cake decorating and especially the time spent with her beloved family.
Judy was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
