Letter: Clean water, climate priorities for Hogg

I hope readers will support Rob Hogg in the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate on June 7.
He has been my state legislator for 14 years and I have been pleased with his work on the job and the results he has accomplished.
He has been a strong supporter of education, including early childhood programs, basic school funding, career and technical education, the arts and math and science initiatives.
On the environment, Hogg has been a leader for action to address climate change and clean water. He also has gotten results, passing the state's first solar energy tax credits in 2012, increasing funding for clean water programs and organizing the Cedar River Watershed Coalition, which continues to meet to support cooperative water management efforts in the Cedar River watershed.
It may be easy for some candidates to say they are for clean water or climate action, but Hogg has done the hard work to help move issues and pass legislation. He is the type of person we need in Washington, D.C.
