Todd Fanning works well with others

To the editor:

As former members of the ICCSD Board of Directors, we care deeply about the future of education for our children. For that reason, we have carefully evaluated the candidates for the school board. To that end, we have decided to endorse Todd Fanning.

Currently, we have two holdover board members who have served two years. Fanning has served 13 years on school boards in Illinois. He will bring experience no other candidate can match. In addition, he has expertise in finance; in view of the financial cuts to school districts' budgets, such knowledge is invaluable. Finally, he is an individual who can work amicably with others, an important trait for board cohesiveness. We urge you to vote for Fanning.
