State police continue to investigate the accident Saturday night near Mount Pleasant that killed Catherine White.
White, 47, of Mount Pleasant, was riding in a pickup that was northbound on Franklin Avenue about 8:15 p.m. when it left the road and rolled over into a ditch flooded by the day's rain, according to an initial State Patrol report. The accident happened near the intersection with 275th Street, about six miles southeast of Mount Pleasant.
White and Gary Albright, 64, of Mount Pleasant, were extricated from the submerged truck and taken to Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant, where White was pronounced dead. Word on Albright's condition isn't available.
The name of the truck's driver hasn't been released, and the State Patrol's investigation is continuing, with charges likely.
