Geonetric picks three not-for-profits for new websites
Sep. 12, 2018 3:16 pm
CEDAR RAPIDS - Geonetric will overhaul the websites of three Linn County not-for-profits next month during its seventh-annual Operation Overnight event.
The Cedar Rapids-based health care marketing company's employees build the sites over 24 hours in their offices, writing the sites from scratch and working with the companies on design.
The not-for-profits in this year's group are Chains Interrupted, a human-trafficking awareness program; Deafinitely Dogs!, which trains service dogs for veterans and people with disabilities; and the Anna Purna Ghosh Foundation, which provides financial support for cancer and blood disease patients buying prescription drugs.
Jemi Baskerville, community outreach coordinator for Deafinitely Dogs!, said the website update was needed and having Geonetric build it saves money the organization would rather spend training dogs.
'All of our funding goes to the dogs, and our website has been left behind,” she said.
Geonetric will unveil the sites at noon on Oct. 26.
