DYERSVILLE BECKMAN 42, MONTICELLO 7:
Grant Hammann passed for 219 yards and four touchdowns and Mitch Steger scored three times as the Blazers (5-2, 3-1) won a key 2A-3 game in Monticello.
Hammann completed 12 of 17 passes, hitting Tony Anstoetter twice for TDs. Steger caught seven passes for 131 yards and a TD and rushed for two more scores.
Tyler Hirsch rushed 15 times for 111 yards for Beckman.
Cody Jamison paced the Panthers (4-3, 3-2), passing for 118 yards while completing 9 of 21 passes.

WEST DELAWARE 56, VINTON-SHELLSBURG 22:
Coy Roussell rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns and Brent Lammers passed for 164 and a TD as the Hawks (6-1, 3-1) won big in Vinton.
Roussell scored on runs of 35, 8 and 4 yards and Lammers completed 10 of 12 passes, including a 62-yarder to Timmy Tutton for a touchdown.
The Vikings fell to 2-5, 1-4.

WEST BRANCH 35, NORTH CEDAR 17:
Michael Gould rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns as the Bears (5-2) won a non-district game in Stanwood.
West Branch led, 28-10, at halftime and 35-10 at the end of the third. Jayden Johnson rushed for two touchdowns and passed for 220 yards.
The Bears are at Eddyville-Blakesburg Friday in a key 1A-6 game.

CLEAR CREEK AMANA 48, ANAMOSA 19 — The Clippers (3-4, 1-3) rushed for 493 yards in a 3A-6 game in Anamosa.
Nile Rourke rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown and hit Keyan McAreavy on a 22-yard scoring pass. Tanner Bandy added 82 rushing yards and a TD for CCA and Jonathon Nzumbo rushed eight times of 87 yards.
Gavin Timp led the Raiders (0-7, 0-5) with 60 rushing yards and two touchdowns and Daniel Husmann scored on a 64-yard run in the first that gave Anamosa a 6-0 lead.

BGM 69, ENGLISH VALLEYS 6 — Jack Kline ran back a punt and two kickoffs for touchdowns as BGM (7-0, 5-0) rolled English Valleys (1-7, 1-4) at North English.
EDGEWOOD-COLESBURG 44, EAST BUCHANAN 6 — Paul Olinger ran for 297 yards and four touchdowns, including one for 53 yards, to lead the Vikings (2-5, 2-3) over the Bucs (1-6, 0-5) in Winthrop.
Olinger rushed for 242 yards and three touchdowns at the end of the first half.
DECORAH 21, CRESTWOOD 14 -- Quarterback Bryce Pierce's 1-yard run with 2:11 left in the third quarter let Decorah escape Crestwood, 21-14, last night in a Class 3A District 5 prep football showdown in Decorah.
The second-ranked Vikings (7-0, 4-0) thwarted two Crestwood drives in the fourth quarter on turnovers, one on Jake Hovden's interception and another Austin Ashbacher fumble recovery.
Crestwood (4-3, 3-1) scored first on an 18-yard pass from Spencer Bohr to Jeff Haskovec in the first quarter. Decorah answered with a 31-yard TD run by Hovden and grabbed a 14-7 lead on a 1-yard Pierce run. Bohrn and Haskovec hooked up again from 31 yards out to knot the game at halftime.
Hovden rushed for 72 yards on nine carries and Pierce completed 4 of 5 passes for 76 yards.— Darin Svenson, correspondent
