Mota, Lynn Culberson
Lynn Culberson Mota, 39, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, with the Rev. William Harnish presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Brosh Chapel. A private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Lynn was born March 24, 1970, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Dean and Terri Teslik Culberson. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1988. She attended Kirkwood Community College, Mount Mercy and graduated from Kaplan University in 2008. Currently she was attending and scheduled to get her RN degree from Eastern Iowa Community College in Peosta in December 2010.
She was a very loving and dedicated mother and will be greatly missed by all.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Alfonso; her sons, Andrew, 11, and Alex, 5; parents, Dean and Terri Culberson of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Rita Gervais of Reynosa, Mexico and Deana (Scott) Arebaugh of Marion; four nephews, Eric and Brian Gervais, Justin and Shane Arebaugh; one niece, Jessica Arebaugh; and her very special dog, Minnie.
Lynn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene and Paula Culberson, Vella Wayland, and Edward and Mina Teslik.
A memorial fund will be established in her name for an education fund for Andrew and Alex Mota at 2641 Schaeffer Dr. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.
