Bunn, Ardis
Ardis Bunn, 83, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at Keystone Nursing Care Center in Keystone. A memorial service will be at a later date.
Ardis was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Denison, Iowa, to Louis and Gladys (Johnston) Wright, and was raised in and attended school in Belle Plaine. She was united in marriage to Noble Bunn on June 5, 1946, in Des Moines.
The couple lived in Brooklyn a short time before moving to Victor in 1952, and later after the passing of Noble, she moved to Marengo in 2005. Ardis worked at the Flomar Restaurant in Brooklyn and then for 23 years at the Victorian Inn in Victor before retiring in 1989.
Ardis and Noble loved to travel from coast to coast, and she had made two trips to Hawaii. Ardis loved her family; she enjoyed cooking for friends and at various events in the area.
Survivors include her sons, Larry (Shirley) Bunn of Cedar Rapids and Richard Bunn of Victor; daughters, Linda Schmidt of Williamsburg and Megen Bunn of Des Moines; grandchildren, Gary (Laura Vannetti) Bunn Jr. of Las Vegas, Andre (Bob) Holsomback of Davenport and Katie Bunn of Des Moines; great-grandchildren, Anna and Noble Conti, Alice and Celeste Conti and Jaden Bunn; and several stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble in 2003; her parents; three sons, David, Gary and Kenneth who died as an infant; and brothers, Charles and Donald Wright.
