Mullen, Larry D.
Larry D. Mullen, 73, died peacefully at home Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013. Funeral Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd, Coralville, where friends may call after 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Larry was born July 26, 1940, in Concordia, Kan., the son of Leo and Isabel Cayer Mullen. He served his country in the U.S. Army. On Nov. 10, 1962, Larry married Bonnie Shubrook in Hawthorne, Calif.
Larry was employed for many years with McCulloch Chainsaws. He and Bonnie lived in El Segundo, Calif., for 14 years and moved to Tiffin in 2008 to be near family. Since 2008, Larry had worked at Stiltner Electric.
Larry loved NASCAR and racing, but most important to him was his family, especially his grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Iowa City Hospice, especially Ingrid, who provided loving care in his final days.
Survivors include his loving wife, Bonnie and their three children, Michael of Junction City, Kan., Michele (Greg) Stiltner of North Liberty and Mathew (Teresa) of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, Lisa-Marie, Patrick, Thomas, twins Summer and Sienna, AJ, Andrew and Allison; and his sisters, Judy (Wayne) Berg and Carol Mullen.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
