Ryan, Evelyn L.
Evelyn L. Ryan, 84, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center following a lingering illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chelsea, by Deacon Joe Behounek. Burial will be in Rector Cemetery, Chelsea. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church where there will be a rosary at 6:45 p.m. Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her husband, Raymond; daughters, Susan (Randy) Smith and Laurie (Donald), both of Chelsea; sons, Patrick (Taddi) Ryan of Toledo, Kevin Ryan of Chelsea, and Matthew (Christina) Ryan of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Florence (Leonard) Balvin of Chelsea, and Verna (Warren) Brush of Quincy, Ill.; brother, Roger Kalinay of Pierre, S.D.; sisters-in-law, Elsie Kalinay of Brooklyn and Dorothy Kalinay of Van Horne; also 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
