Fuchs, Ryan D.
Ryan D. Fuchs, 23, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, in Boone, Iowa. Family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids. Graveside services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his parents, Jim and Sandy Fuchs of Cedar Rapids; brother, William Fuchs of Cedar Rapids; paternal grandfather, Lenard Fuchs of Cedar Rapids; special cousins, Everett and Dee Horwedel of Marion; many aunts and uncles; and best friend and racing partner, Kyle Olson.
Ryan was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Fern Lenton-Milton and Wyane Lenton; and paternal grandmother, Juanita Fuchs.
Ryan was born Sept. 7, 1989, in Cedar Rapids, son of Jim and Sandy Fuchs. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 2008 and was attending classes at Kirkwood. Ryan worked at Auto Zone on Mount Vernon Road for a time, and recently at Amana Refrigeration. He loved helping his dad with racing go karts and cars. Ryan was on the pit crew for Olson Brothers Racing. He was very talented and very mechanical.
