Arlene Gloria Kloubec Reyman, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, in her home. Celebration of life services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery in Swisher. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre.
Arlene was born May 24, 1924, in Shueyville, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Kroul) Kloubec. Arlene was united in marriage to Leonard Reyman on Nov. 1, 1945, at First Presbyterian Church near Ely. They lived on a farm near Swisher all of her life until 1993, when they retired from farming and moved to Cedar Rapids. Arlene was employed at Liggett Drug, Armstrong's, Collins Radio and Airport Coffee Shop.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church near Ely. Her love of family was most important in her life. She enjoyed entertaining friends and relatives, cooking, cards, bowling, golfing and traveling.
Arlene and her husband Leonard, along with the entire Leonard Reyman Band, spent 15 winters in Texas, where the band played for dances several nights a week. She supported her husband's music career her entire life as a band leader's wife and was involved in the Iowa Accordion Club, which he organized in 2002.
Arlene is survived by sons, Ron (Jan) Reyman of Swisher, Russell (Pennee) Reyman of Donahue, Randy (Tina) Reyman of Decatur, Ill., and Ryan Reyman of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard, on Aug. 6, 2011; and her brother, Eugene (Ruth) Kloubec.
Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church near Ely.
