McMurrin, Randy 'Fuzz' Ray
Randy “Fuzz” Ray McMurrin, 56, of Olin, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at his home. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Palmer of Olin; children, Jason McMurrin of Lisbon, Uriah Palmer (Kaylee) and Abram (Brittney) Palmer, both of Olin; brothers and sisters, Dave (Kris) of Winthrop, Steve (Sandy) of Independence, Marla (Don) Bohling of Jesup, Carla McMurrin of Jesup, Tim of Waterloo and Darrin (Melonie) of Winthrop; two grandchildren, Heath and Izzy; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Doug McMurrin.
Randy was born Dec. 4, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Neil and Doris Parshel McMurrin. He attended school in Independence, Iowa before joining the United States Navy. After serving his country Randy went to work for City Wide Construction in Cedar Rapids.
Randy was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
