Flora, Ruth N.
Ruth N. Flora, 98, of Heritage Nursing and Rehab, died there Saturday, May 7, 2011, after a long illness. Graveside services: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include a brother, Jack Goodell of Colorado; a sister, Jennie Sayers of California; and nieces and nephews, including Ken (Mary) Goodell and Barbara Mease, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and four sisters.
Ruth was born June 9, 1912, in Norfolk, Neb., the daughter of Raymond and Lela (Hutchinson) Goodell. She married Louis L. Flora on Feb. 20, 1948, in Chicago. He died in 1979. Flora was in retail sales for many years and was a member of the DAR.
