Matejka, Ivetta E.
Ivetta E. Matejka, 95, of Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Hospice Care Unit in St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Lahey Funeral Home in Wyoming. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at the Wyoming Cemetery.
Ivetta E. Matejka was born April 19, 1918, in Wyoming, Iowa, to Henry and Elsie (Holub) Bramer. She graduated from Wyoming High School in 1935. On May 25, 1942, she was united in marriage to Ernest Matejka.
In her early years she worked as a telephone operator from 1935-1949 in Wyoming. She and her husband owned the school buses, where she drove the East Ridge Bus from 1949-1960.
She is survived by two nieces, Sandra Etter of Texas, and Marcia Eichhorn of Indiana; and one great-nephew, Brian Etter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.
