Erceg, Pauline G.
Pauline G. Erceg, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at St. Luke's Living Center West. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at St. Ludmila Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Johns Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 until 10:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Ludmilas. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Pauline was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Little Turkey, the daughter of Jim and Emma (Tupy) Panosh. She married George Erceg on Aug. 4, 1947, in Little Turkey. She worked for over 38 years at Wilson Food, until her retirement. Pauline enjoyed cooking, baking pies, watching the Cubs and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandkids.
Pauline is survived by her husband, George; her daughter, Carol (Leonard) Steiner of Cedar Rapids; and her son, Tim (Donna) Erceg of Clive; four grandchildren, Dr. Zac Steiner, Eric (Monique) Steiner, Brooke Erceg and Lindsey Erceg; two great-grandchildren, Sophie and Maverick Steiner; and a sister, Viola Swehla of Cedar Rapids.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence (Lena) Panosh; and a brother-in-law, Joe Swehla.
Memorials may be directed to St. Ludmila Catholic Church.
