Video 1 - Man, it's a cold, cold world. Here QB Jake Rudock accuses me of never having made a pie. He called my bluff!!! He was right, so I had to really strain my brain (shuddup) to remember if I had made a pie. And I did. It was 7th grade home econ at Jones Junior High School in Dubuque. Mrs. Van Etten's class. She was a sweet, sweet lady who just knew I was a lost cause. She did her best with me, but my pie was Jell-O pudding. Gross, awful. I got a D+ in home ec. Please, don't show my son this. I tell him all the time to be a standup dude in the kitchen.
Video 2 - LB Quinton Alston talks sushi eating with DT Carl Davis. He said you can't count the amount of rolls Davis can eat in a sitting.
Yes, rocking Kinnick got the players' attention last weekend. They need it again, Alston said.
The concept of defending Kinnick came up. The 16-11 record the last four years in Kinnick isn't good enough.
Video 3 - RB Mark Weisman said that was the loudest and most energetic Kinnick has been for awhile. Iowa did lose the game, and Weisman said the goal is to protect Kinnick.
Video 4 (below) - OT Brandon Scherff went goose hunting on Monday and came up with some big ‘uns. That didn't make the tape, but here's what did:
Have there been enough loud and crazy moments during Scherff's career? He talked about 'defending Kinnick.” It's something that Kirk Ferentz preaches. Here it is again this weekend.
What kind of challenges does Nebraska's DL present?
