The Rasdal name is 'Odd' indeed

I've only been blogging since March 12 and already I've been found by family I didn't know I had in San Diego, California. Received this e-mail the other day:
As I responded, my grandfather's name was Donald. But Amy's assumption about it being Clarence has happened more than once since he worked for Nash Finch in Cedar Rapids many years before I arrived in 1979. By then he had retired, first to Florida and then to North Carolina according to a short family history my father put together a number of years ago.
Amy, who has had Rasdal Associates since 2001, and I have agreed to stay in touch and will undoubtedly share some more family history.
In the meantime, I couldn't resist "googling" the Rasdal name to see where my blog came up.
Ah, yes. There it is. Right after Amy's site. But, what's this?
Odd Rasdal? Yes, it seems, according to Wikipedia, an Odd Rasdal was a long distance runner from Norway who participated in the 1936 Olympics. Kind of appropriate since they were controversial in Hitler's Germany while we're now seeing controversy over the Olympic Torch and upcoming games in China. Here's the entry :
Mmmmmm. I always knew the Rasdal name was different, but I never knew it included an Odd.
