Measles is preventable with vaccination

I'm an old woman who had all the usual childhood diseases, long before vaccines for measles came along. I was the oldest of three children and brought everything home from school. I clearly remember how awful the measles were - we had to be in a dark room, had bad headaches and ached all over, and it lasted for over a week, maybe a little longer.

So today, when I watch the news and read the paper, I want to urge all the parents with little children to get the measles vaccine, along with all the others for their children. It's just plain folly not to have your children protected. The whole idea of vaccines causing autism has been debunked for a long time.

Why would anyone want to let their kids suffer from measles, at any rate? The vaccine is safe and will save your kids misery from high fevers, body aches, or having to lie in a dark room, to protect the children's eyes. Do the right thing, have your children get the measles vaccine.
