Car hits pole at Marion McDonald’s

UPDATE: No one was hurt when a car struck a brick column near the drive-through of a McDonald's restaurant Tuesday evening in Marion.
Police said Charles Okoye, of Marion, told them he lost control of his car around 10 p.m. when he drove over a patch of ice at the McDonald's at 100 Sixth Ave. Paramedics responded to the scene, but Okoye refused medical treatment.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000, and damage to the building was estimated at $1,000. An investigation was continuing, police said.
