Weyer, Gerhart Carl 'Gary'
Gerhart Carl “Gary” Weyer, 86, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Waverly, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.
Gary's memory is honored by his wife, Irene Weyer of Cedar Rapids; his four children, Don Weyer of Cedar Rapids, Randy (Diane) Weyer of Solon, Mary (James) Suchland of Yakima, Wash., and Janice (William) Savel of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Alyson (James) Kilgus of Puyallup, Wash., Krista Suchland, of Yakima, Wash., and Lindsey Savel of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Irene Drews, of Fremont, Neb. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Heinz Weyer; and a sister, Geraldine Thomsen.
Private graveside services will be held Monday at the Harlington Cemetery in Waverly with Pastor Keith Brustuen officiating.
