Weldon, James L. 'Red'
James L. “Red” Weldon, 81, died Tuesday evening, June 1, 2010, at his home following an extended illness. Per his wishes, there will be no services. Private inurnment will be at a later date. The family requests no memorials or flowers. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife Vivian; his children, Pat Yauk (Garry) of Iowa City, Peg Weldon of Iowa City, Jim Weldon (Sandy) of Oxford, Dan Weldon (Sue) of Parnell, Tim Weldon (Lea) of Iowa City, Jeff Weldon (Sally) of Peyton, Colo., Ron Weldon of Parnell, Doug Weldon (Karen Azevedo) of Williamsburg and Tony Weldon (Shari) of Williamsburg; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers; and special friends, Sharon Weldon of Parnell and Helen Weldon of Iowa City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn (Sullivan) Weldon; three brothers and five sisters.
