Regina M. Dripps, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Linn Manor Care Center, Marion. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church, by the Rev. Dustin Vu. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Urbana. A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Friday at Teahen Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Regina is survived by her seven daughters, Judy Hines of Vinton, Susan (Patrick) McCormick of Cedar Rapids, Teresa Dripps of Cedar Rapids, Rita (Nadine) Dripps of Cedar Rapids, Darlene (Michael) Price of Liberty, N.C., Dorothy (Bryon) Bean of Cedar Rapids and Delores Phillips of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Joseph, Skylar and Elizabeth Bean, Brendan McCormick, Nicole and Jessica Price; mother, Oringa Klotz; and one brother, Wilbert Klotz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; and father, Walter Klotz.
Regina Marie was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Watkins, the daughter of Walter and Oringa (Lohrer) Klotz. She married Edward Dripps in Newhall on May 24, 1955. She attended the Cedar Rapids Business College but afterward she chose the vocation to stay at home and take care of her family.
Regina was a member of St. Jude's Rosary Circle and Catholic Daughters.
Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a constant source of joy, love and support for her family.
Regina's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire staff at Linn Manor Care Center in Marion for the exceptional care given to their mother. All of you are stellar employees. May God Bless all of you and your facility.
