Robert D. "Bob" Strub, 88, of Dallas, Ga., formerly of Iowa City, Vero Beach, Fla., and Ocala, Fla., passed away Sept. 1, 2015, following a brief illness. Memorial services are planned at 10 a.m. Oct. 24 at Joy Lutheran
Church in Ocala, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Research or Joy Lutheran Church in Ocala, Fla.
Bob created Component Homes Inc., which designed and manu-factured custom prefab-ricated structures. He and his brother, Don, operated this business in Iowa City for over 25 years. He retired in 1985.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margee Strub; his children, Mike Strub and his wife, Phyllis, Jill Stutsman and her husband, Jim, and Lynn Justen; his grandchildren, Tyler and his fiancee, Jenna, Holly, Abby, Katie, Bradley and his wife, Tiffany, Kelli and Molli; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lilly, Layla and Rylin; several nieces and nephews; and his brother, Frank Strub and his wife, Pat.
