Boeding, Coletta F.
Coletta F. Boeding, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital following a brief illness. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 19, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Winthrop, with the Rev. Donald Plamondon officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Winthrop.
Survivors include her children, Gregory (Laura) Boeding of Tipton, Vincent (Maria) Boeding of Anaheim, Calif., Nancy (Ron) Harris of Middleboro, Mass., Carl (Diane) Boeding of Colorado Springs, Colo., Theresa (Tim) Meyers of Center Point, Linda (Paul) Keener of Las Vegas, Nev., and James (Shannon) Boeding of Cedar Rapids; two Brothers, John (Margaret Ann) Hogan of Winthrop and Marky (Nadine) Hogan of Independence; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Coletta Florence Hogan was born Jan. 30, 1933, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Mark and Florence (Gallery) Hogan. She worked at Farmstead Foods until its closing and she also enjoyed working and socializing at the Cedar Rapids Kernels games.
Memorials may be given in her name to St. Luke's Hospice.
