James Michael Heath, 56, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Dubuque, was called from this world April 19, 2014, sooner than expected, after several years of illness. A family memorial will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his son, Adam Heath of Cedar Rapids; brother, Tom Heath of Iowa City; sister, Anne Heath of Warren-ville, Ill.; uncles, the Rev. Phil Ryan and Jim Ryan, both of Brooklyn, Iowa; stepmother, Judy Heath of Zeeland, Mich.; and longtime friend, Julie Heath of Cedar Rapids.
Jim was born July 30, 1957, the son of Lenard and Joan (Ryan) Heath.
He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
