Armstrong, Elona Carolyn (Mathis)
Elona Carolyn (Mathis) Armstrong, 92, of Redlands, Calif., formerly of Center Point, died Aug. 30, 2009, in Redlands. Survivors include her husband, Richard R. Armstrong; brother, Dale Mathis of Center Point; and sister, Millicent Cox of Cedar Rapids.
Born Nov. 9, 1916, Elona married Richard R. Armstrong on Jan. 22, 1954. She worked at the ASC office in Marion, moving to Glendale, Calif., in 1969, where she worked for the Glendale Seventh-day Adventist Hospital for more than 18 years. She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church.
