Stolba, Carlene June (Banes) and Leonard Steve
Leonard was employed by Mean Towel Service and Carlene by Armstrong's. As they raised their four children, both were very active in the Prairie Booster Club. Leonard was instrumental in beginning the Prairie Girls Softball Little League program and coaching Prairie Little League Baseball and Softball. In 1980, Leonard and Carlene moved to Buena Vista, Colo., owning C&L Husky Gas. After selling the business, both worked for nearby ski resorts.
Leonard enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on automobiles. Carlene enjoyed cooking and caring for her family, crocheting and quilting. She was especially proud of participating in 25 consecutive years of Women's State Bowling tournaments.
Leonard and Carlene are survived by their children, Ken (Annette) of Buena Vista, Colo., Bryon (Lisa) of Cedar Rapids, and Jenise of Northglenn, Colo.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; Dwayne Bolin and Dianna Stolba. Leonard is also survived by his brothers, Louis, Leo and Bob; and Carlene by her siblings, Betty Yuska, Dick and Roger Banes.
“Buby” and “Jeda” will be greatly missed by their family.
They were preceded in death by their parents and son, Richard; Leonard's siblings, Adolph, Milo, Emil, Josephine, Margaret, Leona and MaryAnn; and Carlene's brothers, Allen, Franklin and Vernon.
