A look at some options of things to take in this weekend across Eastern Iowa.
Robin Hood: Wanted
Thursday through Saturday, July 22 to 24
Robin Hood has been spreading the wealth for centuries. On screen, he steals. On stage at Brucemore for this year's children's theater, however, he “shares.” Robin Hood and his Merry Men will make their way onto the outdoor stage at Brucemore through Saturday to teach children life lessons and have a little merriment along the way. So pack a picnic and blanket and kick back with the kiddos.
5:30 and 7:30 p.m. (gates open at 5 and 7 p.m.) Thursday through Saturday (7/22-24),
$3 for children and $5 for adults, (319) 362-7375 or www.brucemore.org
Cairo in the Cornfields III
Saturday, July 24
Iowa City-based non-profit Kahraman Near East Dance Ensemble brings a three-day Oriental Dance extravaganza with dance workshops with acclaimed Egyptian choreographer Mahmoud Reda Friday. Then dance enthusiasts can enjoy Cairo in the Cornfields III, a performance by dance professionals from across the U.S. and Kahraman Near East Dance Ensemble.
