Roberts, Mary M.
IOWA CITY - Mary M. Roberts, 69, of Iowa City, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at Mercy Iowa City. At her request, no public services are planned.
Mary M. Davidson was born Feb. 6, 1941, in St. Mary's, W.Va., the daughter of James and Helen (Bell) Davidson. She graduated from St. Mary's High School. On June 14, 1963, she was united in marriage to Darrell Roberts. The couple made their home in Parkersburg, W.Va., and in Fort Madison, Iowa, and for the past eight years she has lived in Iowa City. Her family was her world, being “Mom” was everything to her. She enjoyed her gardens, doing puzzles and was an avid reader.
Her family includes her two children, Brent Roberts and Jennifer Roberts, both of Iowa City; her former husband, Darrell Roberts of Burlington; and a brother, William Davidson of Davisville, W.Va.
We will miss her laugh, intelligence, storytelling abilities, open-mindedness, how she could be so non-judgmental, her hugs and kisses, and the way she said “I love you” to where it filled your whole body and mind instantly with her love.
