Sufficool, Robert 'Bob' W.
Robert “Bob” W. Sufficool, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Hazleton at Fontana (Sufficool) Cemetery.
Survivors include his son, Robert “Bill” Sufficool Jr. of Williamsburg; two grandchildren, Camille Sufficool of Iowa City and Scott Sufficool of Minneapolis; and five great-grandchildren, Kellan and Korbin Petz and Amanda, Zac and Alex Sufficool.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores on Sept. 16, 2005; and grandson, Richard Sufficool.
Robert William Sufficool was born July 19, 1915, in Rosebud, Mont., the son of Glen and Sarah (Parker) Sufficool. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Cleveland for the entire Pacific Theatre. On June 14, 1947, Robert married Delores L. Siemer at Bethany Lutheran Church. After the war Bob was co-owner of the Williamsburg Body Shop for over 30 years and a member of VFW Post 8797.
Upon retirement, Bob enjoyed time with his wife and family at the family cabin in Guttenberg. Some of his favorite pastimes included spending time with his grandchildren, taking them fishing, duck hunting and being at the cabin on the Mississippi.
Robert (Bob “Pompo”) will be missed dearly by his friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy.
