Haasl, Jack L.
Jack L. Haasl, 68, died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at St. Clare Hospice, Wisconsin, following a battle with cancer. He was born in Wisconsin Rapids on July 30, 1942, to the late Felix and Clara (Elias) Haasl.
He was a graduate of Wisconsin Rapids Assumption. Jack was united in marriage to Marilyn “ DeDe“ Bunde on Nov. 3, 1962. Jack was employed as executive vice president for Mautz Paint for many years. He was and avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, the good company of his neighbors and he especially cherished his time with his grandchildren.
Jack is survived by three sons, Brent (Cyndi), Barry (Tammy) and Bart; four grandchildren, Alyx, Dillon, Calista and Payton; and two sisters, Dorothy (Ben) Malasky and Janet Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; brothers, Walter and Butch; and a sister, Irene Lasky.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday April 1, at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, Wis., with Pastor Jim Buske officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
