Vice, Paul E.
Paul E. Vice, 64, of Kalona, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at his home after a lengthy illness with heart disease. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Friends may visit with the family at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; one daughter, Veronica Vice and her fiance, Jeremy, of Kalona; a son, Robert and his fiancee, Pam, of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Anna Jones of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Emily, Kaitlyn, Kyler, Miami and Larissa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; two sisters; and a granddaughter, Kimmy.
Paul was born Dec. 18, 1945, in Lexington, Ky., the son of Raymond and Alvia Vice. He married Darlene Jackson on May 6, 1978, in Middletown, Ohio. Paul was an auto body repair man for Thunderbird Truck Sales for many years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed the Hawkeyes, college basketball, the Kentucky Derby and especially time spent with his beloved family.
