This election makes no sense

I can make no sense of the news: Republicans leading in polls? They deny their role in the mess they made. Do folks drink too much beer? How else to account for believing such drivel? It's a heck of a political pickle.
The Republicans claimed they had ways to keep the country on track: free markets with less regulation, tax breaks for rich and big business, tax-free if businesses moved elsewhere. But the good-paying jobs went, too.
Tragedy struck on 9/11 and changed the hearts of our nation. With lies of weapons of mass destruction, we started a war with Iraq. The Army had jobs for those willing to bleed. Our losses are too great. It's hard to believe.
They created a terrible mess. Banks and Wall Street went rampant with greed. Our economy tumbled. People lost their life savings, and homes along with it. We teetered on the brink of a Great Depression.
Obama came in and works hard to fix it. Republicans filibuster at rates unheard of, and say no to every solution. Despite such resistance, things are getting better. Thank goodness for Democrats!
Big business and the rich have an agenda; Anonymous money fuels their campaigns. Have people forgotten who created this mess? Don't believe the lies and half truths that are told.
The answer's quite clear. Talk to your friends. Go out and vote as soon as you can. Vote Democratic.
