Klopp, Margaret C.
Margaret C. Klopp, 88, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services: 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by the Rev. Bill Harnish. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Czech National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Malcolm; son, Robert (Karen) Trachta of Cedar Rapids; her daughter-in-law, Louise Trachta of Tofte, Minn.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry; and two sisters, Bessie Simoens and Martha Sonka.
Margaret was born May 24, 1921, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Janko) Cesticky in Ely. On Oct. 13, 1959, she married Malcolm D. Klopp in Las Vegas, Nev. Margaret worked as a hostess at Murdoch Funeral Homes, retiring in 1987.
Margaret was a member of Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy or a charity of the donor's choice.
