Bessert, Jason C.
Jason C. Bessert, 24, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, as a result of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A loving son, father, brother and friend, Jason will be remembered for his warm smile and friendly, outgoing nature.
Jason is survived by his parents, Ronald and Judy Bessert of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Jeff Bessert and fiancee Tara Janey of Atkins and Paul Bessert of Atkins; and numerous loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Jason was born Sept. 30, 1988, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ronald and Judy (Mauter) Bessert. He graduated from Prairie High School in 2006. He loved life and enjoyed sports. Jason was an avid Bears and Cubs fan. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 217 in Atkins. Jason worked with the family business, B and B Drywall, with his brothers Jeff and Paul.
