Pfeffer, Esther B.
Esther B. Pfeffer 96, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Cottage Grove Place. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethany Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joseph Polzin will officiate. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral and at the church after 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Esther is survived by her, son Duane (Karen) Pfeffer of Cedar Rapids; two grandsons, Justin Pfeffer of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Brett (Allison) Pfeffer of Waukee; one great-grandson, Carsten Pfeffer of Waukee; three sisters, Edna Sanders, Lillian Locke and Doris (Maynard) Rieks, all of Iowa Falls; and sisters-in-law, Mavis Klein of Iowa Falls, and Phyllis Pfeffer of McCook Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers and three sisters.
Esther was born Dec. 25, 1913, the daughter of Ferdinand and Augusta Klein in Hardin County, near Alden, Iowa. She was united in marriage with Albert Pfeffer on Sept. 6, 1942, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alden, Iowa. Albert died August 8, 1986.
