SEALBY LEAVES FOR SIU
Former Iowa reserve offensive lineman and long snapper Reid Sealby announced on Twitter Monday night he was transferring to Southern Illinois.
'Excited to announce that I'll be continuing my college football career at Southern Illinois University! Go Salukis!” Sealby wrote. '... thankful for my experience at Iowa & leaving in good standing with the coaching staff there. Ready to get to Carbondale & get back to work.”
Sealby, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound junior, hails from Byron, Ill. He red-shirted in 2012 and didn't see game action in 2013 or 2014.
'Reid has chosen to transfer from the University of Iowa and complete his athletic and academic careers elsewhere,” Iowa Coach Kirk Ferentz said in a statement. 'We appreciate his contributions to our program and wish him the best with his decision.”
