Fun with Public Records - City Lobbyists

The city of Cedar Rapids has hired a second lobbying firm, Avenson, Cope and Oakley, to lobby for bucks and bills at the Statehouse. The firm joins Larry Murphy's outfit, which remains on the city and Linn County lobbying payroll.

I  missed the council meeting Tuesday to attend my daughter's Christmas concert. But Rick Smith, as always, has the details.

Here are client lists for Avenson, Cope, Oakley and Murphy, which I pulled from the Iowa General Assembly website. Nothing stunning, just interesting to politics geeks such as myself. Many of the clients are the same for Avenson, Cope and Oakley, since they work together. I couldn't find a list for Murphy's partner Gary Grant.
